I am after a leather watch strap for my omega seamaster aqua terra. I wear my watch almost daily and the bracelet is starting to look a bit tatty. It is 4.5 years old, although I think omega polished it when I sent it back for a battery replacement a few years ago. I would like to replace it with a leather one as I think it will be more comfortable, especially during warm weather as I can loosen it much easier.

My only concern is I have very slim wrists so I am not sure what length strap I need. My bracelet below only has 6 links (2 are the smaller half size). I currently have the bracelet open as the battery needs changing which I will do myself this time. It measures 135mm whilst open.

I was looking at some Hirsch straps as someone on here recommended them and they seem to come in 180mm or 200mm. The strap needs to be 19mm where it joins the watch. Can any one advise/help?

If you want comfort and all season wear then you will not get a better strap than a rubber/silicone one from a decent brand.

Watchgecko sell plenty whilst you can get high quality ones cheaper from US suppliers like Barton Bands etc. They are on Amazon too. Leather will absorb sweat in summer, age and stretch over time and look tatty as well along with the dirt that builds up on the lighter coloured underside that most tend to have. Silicone will simply look new again after a rinse under the tap.

Keep in mind C&B orders will almost always have customs charges attached due to the local courier that picks up the shipment when it lands in the UK. I've had lots of orders from them and always had customs charges of at least £14!

Thanks for your inputs! I had a look at those websites but could not see any 'short' straps. I've found a website, a bit pricier than I wanted to spend (acollectedman.com) which does sell short straps (105 x 70mm) so I've gone ahead and ordered one to try.

@mrk rubber/silicone sounds like a good option. I might also see if I can find a short one available too for every day use and just use the leather one I have bought for special occasions.

Barton Elite silicone comes with a long and short standard size piece, plus the holes are closely spaced and plentiful so you're bound to have a fit

In my opinion, leather watch straps arent great in the summer as it absorbs sweat and smells after a while
