OK I can't even stream 720p YouTube on our existing BT 8mb/s (5mb actual) line.

I was going to switch to virgins 30mb line and get a TV package as the TiVo box looks very powerful.

Our BT vision box is flaky atm and doesn't support HD.

However I read about discontent with VMs traffic management.

Is this only if you max out your days allowance? will they always throttle P2P?

Otherwise would give infinity a go albeit with weaker TV options..

Who gives better fibre?

Could give Sky ago as they are supporting fibre too, also you get fantastic tv with that being a sports fan i love their sports package.

Current plans offer Unlimited ADSL 2+ for £5 - £7.50 if you dont want fibre just yet.

Id personally go for infinity. Virgin is good if your area isnt oversubscribed - god help you if it is :(. Had a few routing problems a few weeks back but it seemed to be the servers end not bt :)

Bt infinity option 2:

I'm in Isleworth West London, not really sure if i'm oversubscribed.

Hearing people getting severly throttled on their virgin line.

I did have a Virgin 50mb line in Nottingham in 2010 that was blisteringly fast

I'll threaten BT with leaving unless they infinity me and get me the new TV box and/or hub

signed up to BT Infinity 2, ended up paying more, oh well.

Hope the home hub three range isn't dire or i'll be back here with a 'spec me a router' thread hehe
