Hello All,

Not sure this is relevant to all headsets (or all battery electricals for that matter), but I've always unplugged once close to 100% charge (phones and my Quest 2). However, google has mixed idea's now.

As the Quest Pro sits in the charging dock, it's a bit more relevant to that headset...is it ok to leave it fully charged (green) in the cradle while not in use?

Cheers,

Edit,

Just found this so it appears it's designed to sit on the dock when not in use...

The documentation/website explains that it is designed to sit on the charging dock when not in use, so it’s always charged.

Go down to “Charging Your Meta Quest Pro” and you can find the following:

Meta Quest Pro Charging Dock The Meta Quest Pro Charging Dock can charge both headset and controllers at the same time. Think of it as your desktop home for your headset and controllers, so they're nearby and ready to go when you are. The Charging Dock, along with a 45W adaptor is included in the box when you purchase Meta Quest Pro.

I leave my Quest 2 on charge, only after l realised that if l had a charging station that would be the case anyway, as you mentioned. Not sure if this is correct or not though.......

I don't leave mine on charge all the time, but I do think Meta wouldn't have supplied a charging dock if it were bad for the headset to keep it on charge.

FYI

As I'm a little paranoid, I've plugged the base into a "smart plug", once I state "Quest On" (Alexa) the plug turns on for 2.5 hours and then turns off...probably not required, but I more or less do the same with my phone as well so neither are constantly on charge...
