Leaving a comfortable job?

I'd keep the current job. The extra stress and commute for 15% isn't a great deal. I've had a high stress job mess up my health so I'd always advise avoiding stress. Wonder if you can you take your boss' job when he retires.

15% for 7hrs of your life a week, plus any further stress or demands they put on you. Also it might not be the way it is described.

Does your currently job pay enough for you to have a good lifestyle? If so, it is sometimes better to stay put.

From what you have posted, stay put. 15% is not that much in return for the extra commuting and responsibilities.

Stay, extra commute alone not worth it and leaving secure job for the unknown. still doesn't solve the problem of boredom though, opportunities in future possibly at current job, with boss checking out? or maybe be on lookout for more of a no brainer position.

The offer hasn't come out of the blue has it ? You must have been looking around, so what was the motivation and target for a new job ?
