Leaving laptop on 24/7

Hi,

I have a laptop in which is around 2.5 years old in which I'm considering using to host some files etc. It has a 500gb hard disk, 4gb of ram and wont use as much power as a pc which will be perfect.

Can anyone envisage problems in leaving a laptop on 24/7? I can set it up as so I can close the lid without the system turning off etc. I'm not worried about the battery as it only lasts 10 mins anyway.

what do you think?

Aslong as the heat is managed well then it shouldn't be a problem.

I can't really see it being a problem either. It does get warm but I can't see that being too much of an issue.

Been running my old laptop for a couple of years - removed the battery, just make sure it is well ventilated
