What sort of leaving present could i get for my team at work. I have only been there 3 months but have really enjoyed working with them and have been on a few nights out.

In my team there are 6 guys and 1 girl. Nothing big just a sort of thank-you

I was thinking on the lines of a crate of beer and bottle of wine for the girl.

Ideas please

There's never generally complaints at beer. Or something for the office (if it's some kind of office)?

Big open plan office, everyone sits where they want. Might just get 2 or 3 crates and some wine for the girl.

Its not exactly going to cost a lot. £25 at the most

nice...
fancy a job at the EU (3 month contract :p )

Can share an office with me.

Do you know that they actually like to drink beer and wine? Just because it could come across as slightly presumptious to buy only the lady wine while the men share a crate of beer. Ok it is probably a fair guess especially as you've been on nights out with them but it might be something to think about.

I wouldn't get them anything really, it's only been three months. I think you're just trying to be too nice and too polite. Just say and do the usual routines and that's the end of that really. When I left my old job after 10 months I didn't get anybody anything, except some thankyous and such.

One of the guys left just before xmas who had been there neally a year and he didnt get anyone anything. Maybe im just too nice!
(I will be getting stuff for the 3 people who have given me lifts to and from work all the time though)

Maybe the world has changed but in my experience my employers have been the ones splashing cash when I've moved on. Thanks for the good work you've done, come to lunch with the team on your last day or come to the pub for a drink.

If I were you I'd just invite everyone out for your leaving drinks then, while you're there, thank them for coming out and tell them how much you've enjoyed working with them.
