Hi,

I have the Canton speaker set, and the sub is plugged into the mains on its own.

Was wondering if it ok to leave it plugged in and turn on al lthe time, as i keep forgetting to turn it off ?

Thanks

Id say that its fine as long as you are sure that you arent going to get some kind of spike that is large enough to make the driver hit maximum excursion when you turn something else on (or off).

Im one of those people that doesnt turn anything off, ever - but I make sure that if I do it all gets turned on and off in the right order so that nothing goes pop ;)

I always leave mine turned on. Mine has one of those active feed options when it turns on if it gets a strong enough signal otherwise it's in standby but I'm sure i'm like most folks in that I have that turned off and the sub on 24/7 :)

The other week i connected my Sub to the mains output of my Amp basicly to see if there would be any adverse effects, well there wasnt so for the time being thats how it is so when i turn the amp on my Sub also turns on...probably not the most Audiophile way of doing it as its probably putting more strain on the Amp than need be but it seems ok so far.
Its like a Euro style socket on the back of the Amp and id had the plug knocking around for ages.
