Leaving your mac downloading over night

Right, ive got a few torrents going on in transmission , and wondered what the best way to leave them running over night is?

Should I just leave the mac on with the lid open and jobs a gudun?

Or if it goes into sleep mode will it still do the downloading?

Any help would be great guys

You don't need to do anything as long as you have the "Prevent computer from sleeping with active transfers" option enabled under the Network tab in Transmission's preferences. Your MacBook's screen will eventually turn off however, Transmission will still be running.
