Not sure where best to post this. I'm after a light strip which is powered off USB.

There's hundreds on a certain site, but don't want one which is going to burn the house down (I've personally seen these literally burst into flames before).

Any ideas on a good quality one please? I've already got a philips hue one downstairs, but I'm after one which you can power from a USB port.

Thanks!

External USB?

Aquacomputer do the Farbwerk Nano. Tiny little control box, with a USB plug (they do an internal and external version) and a port for their RGBpx lighting strips. These strips can be daisy-chained and you can run up to 90LEDs off the one little control box.
The box has a single button on, which cycles the patterns, and the unit can run independently but you can also program it from the PC.

Yeah sorry mate, external. I want to run it under my monitor.
