Any advice on what dimmer switches to get for LEDs?

I have one room with 6x10w another two with 3x10w bulbs.

From reading around google it appears I need a "trailing edge" dimmer switch. There's also mention that to work out the wattage equivalent for LEDs you find 10% of the switches max wattage. This seems pretty insane to require a 600w switch for 6 lights.

I bought the bulbs thinking it will be fine but all I'm getting is lovely strobe lights at most levels on my current dimmers. I've swapped back to the old bulbs as I doubt it would do them any good.

Would getting trailing edge and somehow finding a 600w dimmer solve this flickering?

Any advice on brands to get?

Edit: Sorry just noticed the large LED thread :(.

Awesome I shall try the varilight v pros then :). Just got to try and find one with a white button otherwise I'll get moaned at :D.

Thanks :).

i looked at switch shop and looks like they make them with both silver and white options

the silver is just a cover over the white button you can pull it off but the white underneath isnt a perfect finish like a real white one would be etc

tlc have them for 10

I just clocked TLC £11.38 is pretty good!

Never ordered from them before so will check out some reviews and get my order in :).

Thanks :).

Solid reviews online (for what they're worth these days), order placed :).

Fingers crossed it fixes it!

I'll save the old dimmers for disco night.
