ive just installed a fan controller into my system and it works fine but when i turn the fans rpm down the leds go down as well, is this damaging to the leds or can they handle it without any problems

The fan controller reduces the speed of the fan by reducing the voltage (I believe), as a result the LEDs dim, but they will not be damaged from this.
