LED Strip

I'm thinking of using a strip of 12V LEDs in my case as well as behind the monitors and keyboard, and read somewhere that it will be ok to just directly connect them up to my PSU by soldering on a molex connector. What do you guys think? The length of them (5m) is ideal to be honest because I'll use it on my friend's 3 monitors, case and keyboard as well as my two, case and keyboard.

Cheers guys :)

Hi, that still isn't really allowed, its advertising competitors and whatnot so you may want to remove that reference altogether to be honest.

On the the point
Basically, on a molex connector you have 4 wires each is a different voltage:
Yellow- 12V
Black- Ground
Black- Ground
Red- 5V

So for these LEDs (being 12V) you will connect the Yellow and black cables to the strips and that should be all. Just make sure they are the right way round, LEDs need the correct polarity. They they will run whenever the PC is on, HAPPY DAYS :D if it were me, i may consider getting switch for them though

Ok cheers, that's what i planned I just wanted to make sure :) Yeah i'll probably make a small control box so i can switch off the strips for monitors etc. separately :)

On another thought though, if I split the strip will it still require 12V or less?
