Led Zeppelin reunion now virtually certain

Genuinely enlightening im sure and a really worthwhile post to boot. Nice job!.

I'll definately go, I was just getting into them and missed the opportunity to see them on the Unledded/No Quarter tour, not going to miss what will probably be the only other chance i'll get.

About as elightening as your post!

of course they were a great band, and produced some classics, but ley it to rest - they are old, simply wont be the same as before and about the only reason they are doing it is for money. I see all these old bands reforming as ******* on their legacies - where are their principles!??

I'm personally not too bothered how well or not they perform, I wasn't even around to see them in their prime.

For me, i'm just grateful that I might be able to see them live in my lifetime. They are the only band I wish I saw but never have.

Can you let us read the rest of the interview you did with them?..oh wait.

Fans get to see them, they make some cash (doubt they are short tbh), they are musicians and performers who get a chance to play together as a band again. Just remind me, who loses out here?

Oh and as much of a shock as it may be, Led Zep released several albums in the past to make money...wierd concept isn't it?

Page and Plant were brilliant live, Page, Plant, Paul-Jones and Bonham Jr should also be great, if you have doubts.....don't go:confused:

I'm not surprised this news has split opinions. The band aren't going to be the same as they were decades ago but I think a reunion would be a good farewell to the band as the members will be too old for it soon - unless they start taking what Keith Richard takes.

OT: Bumhucker, dont you think the prostitute from rome, the one who was stabbed, was a lot fitter than cleopatra? I demand you replace your sig!:p

You don't mean Gaia do you? Pullo's evil mistress?

I'll guarantee it will be awful.
I have video bootlegs from 3 concerts they did since Bonham died and they are terrible (Live Aid, Atlantic Party & something else) and they were all in the 80's.
God knows how bad they will be now.
The best you can hope for is that Page comes around with the Black Crowes again - now that was good.

However, I'll wager my rare Zeppelin DVD's that they will not be touring because this has gone on for so long.

When I say thet were great live, I'm talking about when I went to see them at Glastonbury and Reading festivals, although I admit that memories of the Glastonbury one are particularly hazy:)

years were 199...something

If there is one, I don’t know if there would be enough doctors to support it.

Haha:

"A fan who met Plant in London today contacted NME.COM explaining that the singer said he was on his way to meet bandmates Jimmy Page and John Paul Jones"

Hendrix told me he was going to literally reform as a support act.:D

I doubt I'll be going anyway, much as I'd like to it'll probably end up costing as much as next years family holiday.

"Sorry kids, no holiday this year, daddy is going to London to see a band"

Yes, she was stabbed then strangled on her deathbed. She is FINE.

Amen.

They may not be as good as they were, they may be doing it for the money (although I don't believe that considering just how much they have), they may be a shadow of their former selves.

They are my favourite band. Seeing them live is the one thing I need to do.

If it all goes well I can't see this being their only performance, tickets for this will sell out in record time I think.

It's taken Zep years to get around to doing this (if it happens) I think a few more dates will follow, I can't see them not going stateside as they have a lot to thank the US for.

Fingers crossed :)
