Howdy all!

Right i have a gigabyte aurora case which comes standard with 3 x 12cm blue LED fans - 2 on the back and 1 in the front. I also have a Zalman CNPS9500 AM2 Aero Cooler which has a green LED (Nvidia endorsed).

My question is, how do i change LEDs on fans? I have some lined up...but, what size do i need 3mm or 5mm? How do i take the existing ones off and how do i put new ones back on?

I want to get rid of the blue LEDs and replace them with green to match my CPU cooler, or im going to replace them all with red ones. I havent decided yet. Just wanting the info before buying LEDs.

Any info given is appreciated.
Thx

Don't bother imo. Sell them on and buy some green ones. Its hassle and tbh with the time it takes to do 3 fans (12 leds?) I would just lose a little cash and buy some new ones.

I was tempted to buy some Noctua fans because theyre very quiet but have no LEDs.

Im after red led fans, and the only one on overclockers is the akasa which runs at 2000rpm, and the ones i have now are only at 1000rpm, so theyl be a lot noiser.

The LED fans i have use surface-mount LEDs (cheap fans tho).

They are on a strip around the outside of the fan, so they are not too difficult to get at, they'll be damn hard to solder tho.

Mod them to 7v - easy to do no soldering required.

Loads of guides on the net - google is ** friend ;)
