must be a lot of people listening to yorkshire radio at the moment because its lagging like a lamb on 1 leg

Doesn't sound like they will from what Bates has said, but they should.

Check that out, a statement by Leeds, the FA are claiming that we backed them into a corner by not sorting the insolvency sooner therefore putting the league into such a position as to kick leeds for good or ban them..

Which is utter crap, we solved it a day late didnt we? Not only that, 15 points deduction?! The next action would be relagation which is totally beyond anything you would expect..

This is just unreal, its so unjust how they actually justified their actions in making this decision, its just stupid, all teams will be in the same pos except 2nd place, they would still make play offs and if we hadnt had this deduction we would have been there anyway so no one can argue.

This is just annoying full stop, guarantee if it was Manu, Chelsea, Liverpool or Arsenal then we would be seeing a very different outcome. Leeds dont have the kind of luck to win things any more.
 
phew! I was in my car when the news came through and I punched the air and let out a monsterous yes. Poor old dear st the bus stop had a bit of a fright!
 
I fear we haven't seen the end of this.

Although, Forest and Leeds both have the 'big club' merit to go back up - knowing their luck Carlisle'll go up ;)

According to you and other Leeds fans but not to most other people including (most importantly) an independent arbitration board. If it is such a miscarriage of justice then why have Leeds accepted the decision. They know what they did was questionable at best, it didn't work out - move on.
 
It was always going to be rejected but we had some hope :(


Leeds doesn’t deserve to be in the League 1 we are too big of a club, just hope we do our self’s proud after this excellent season, which teams could lose 15 points and still qualify for the playoffs? Not a lot. Good luck Leeds :)

In the same way that a team will be punished for past managers or players mistakes.

Leeds have done well this season when you consider the 15 point deduction. If they don't get into the Championship this year via the play offs then I'm sure they'll make it next year.

Whats the best option for the long term recovery of the club though? Promotion this year or next?

personally id say this year, motivation after getting out of the 15 point deduction and making the playoffs is at a high, if we lose the playoffs then the motivation a lot of the players have at the moment may not be there next season

plus im worried if we dont go up we may lose beckford to a bigger club

if we could get back up into the championship then even if we dont do anything impressive there for 1 - 2 seasons at least it'd give some time for stability, and it has a far better feel to it than "league 1"
