When leek testing, do you guys have all the water blocks de-tached from your hardware.

I've just been thinking, if I have all the blocks detached, fitting the blocks onto the graphics card / CPU and NB is going to be a right pain if the loops already setup.

I've seen a few pics of when people are settings their water cooling geer up, they just attach the blocks straight onto their hardware.

Sorry i'm new to water cooling, how would I go about it? Should I just attach all my blocks to the components, then run the pump without the hardware powered up?

It's just going to be so hard trying to attach a NB block to the motherboard with all the tubes in the way, and more blocks hanging everyware?

You can install the blocks to the motherboard when leak testing,put some towel`s below the block`s incase any water is leaking and you should be ok,this is what im doing when i sort out my watercooling setup.
 
Im going to have to leak test with the blocks attached to the hardware as everything is jammed in so tight. Butim going to leave the mobo/GPU etc etc unplugged so that if it does get wet, it won't matter.
 
Set up your water cooling with every thing attached as if you were going to fire up the whole pc.
Instead of conecting the Water pump to your PSU, get a spare PSU and connect a molex to your pump and short out the PSU MOBO connector,(cant remeber which pins-just google for it).
You can then power up your pump and blead the system whilst watching for leaks and it will be safe because there will be no power going to your system (bar the WC pump)
Leave to run for a few hours and look for leaks.
 
I never leak testef my setup because I found it pointless, in that I used to have a 15litre reservoir with a submerged pump and the heatercore sat ontop of the reservoir, only thing inside my case were the waterblocks (back in the old days of Little river white waters and lucite topped maze 3's for my ti4200/9700 iirc.

I made sure I used proper brass barbs, lots of PTFE and metal jubilee clips.

I just attached it all up, installed it all and away I went, making sure I tipped the heatercore in all 3 axis for a while to remove any airpockets trapped inside.

only time I ever had a leak was when I forgot to attach the tube going from the pump to the waterblock, must have pumped a litre or two or water into my case before I turned the 8 way power adaptor of, which then shorted out from getting wet and turned on again pumping even more water everywhere until I got to the plug at the wall lol.

everything survived though somehow
