Okay, apart from my internet playing up throught the router to my network. I have now rooted it directly into my computer using an etherent connection, I disabled the connection and tried to restart it (enable). However, whenever I do this my pc retarts. The same happens in safe mode and spyware multiple programs bring up nothing and an av program is currently scanning. One of my thoughts would be that Ccleaner or Regmech has deleted something vital from the registry . .. . . .

help :(

are you getting a BSOD?
have you got BSODs turned on?

What about reinstalling or updating drivers for the network card (helpfully off the internet ;))

After a google BSOD - Blue screen of death, which I might find in the bios?
Network card drivers, its connected into the mobo not a card. However, I'll look on the mobo driver cd to discover if it includes drives.

How to enable BSOD (Windows XP SP1, but I think SP2 is the same):

  1. Right click 'My computer' and select Properties (or select 'System' from the Control Panel)
  2. Select 'Advanced' tab.
  3. In the 'Startup and Recovery' box, click 'Settings'.
  4. Uncheck 'Automatically restart'.
  5. Click OK on both windows.
