not using crossfire

whats validating integrity of game cache?

also jsut been cicked out of game again by steam, something to do with connectivitiy and authorising me as a user :S

i have recntly installed kasparsky internet antivirus tools which has blocked an app in a steam directory which it has named as:

"PDM.Keylogger"

apparently its named as Zerogear.exe

what the hell is that :S?

just realised zerogear is a steam game but why should it block the EXE and class it as a keylogger thing :S?

Sounds like someone else is logging on to your steam account and that's why you're getting kicked. It also sounds like you've got a keylogger, which is almost certainly why someone else is logging onto your steam account.

Bit late to be installing antivirus - what you can try, and hope for the best, is validate your email address on steam, change your password FROM A DIFFERENT PC, wipe your steam PC and reinstall windows from scratch. And don't click any links claiming to give you free stuff from steam ;)

Edit - also change your email password from a different PC, as that's probably been keylogged too.

Zerogear is a steam game, but unless you've actually installed it, nothing on your system should be called ZeroGear. If you have installed it then the anti-virus is doing what it does best, ****ting bricks over nothing.

i have installed zero gear so thats fine

kaspersky antivirus is saying that this game is a key logger... the game is the object which kaspersky is finding "suspecicious" as it names it

i have allways had an antivirus installed its just that my old one expired the otherday so i had to move over to this new one i have

should i ignore this keylogger its mentioning??? is it as Evilsod said, its just ****ting bricks?

just found the issue,

apparently its a common problem with kaspersky internet security 2010 that it will list some apps but mostly games as a key logger and they are working on an update for this

so thats fine

but still doesn't explain why left 4 dead 2 crashes out to desktop :( ???

Left 4 Dead 2 was well known for crashing to desktop problems particularly when it was first released. MOST of these problems have been fixed, but some still remain. If you have a look at the Steam Forums for L4D2 there are plenty of helpful tips in preventing this.
