How much is it at the moment on Steam? Can't access the site and I've been telling my mates how much fun it is and trying to persuade them to buy it too. I bought it over the weekend at £16 but assume it's back at full price now? Not sure it's worth full price but £16 was worth it :D

I ordered it from G2PLAY yesterday, don't forget to read the note that says it's the German version with violence reduced!

Plays perfectly and the key came quick, just disappointed I didn't read the page properly, but entirely my fault! Hoping Steam may unlock it to Uncut, still an awesome game even with less blood!

Edit: get it in USD works out £14.80 or so via Paypal compared to £16.xx in other currencies!

Liking the £14.80 but not liking the reduced violence thing! It's a zombie massacre so it needs mayhem. Will be interesting to know if it is unlockable or can be installed on steam using the CD key so you can download it from there?

Can you do that in Steam? Use the CD key bought elsewhere and download from Steam?

It comes as a Steam key like you'd get in say a retail Orange Box, you activate it in Steam and it downloads form there. The current G2play copies activate as Left 4 Dead (DE).

Main thing missing is blood on the camera, bit disappointed but having played the uncut version aswell it doesn't impact my enjoyment, but I am stuck with it as I can't rebuy it in Steam!
 
Ah yes I have been to the site so understand it now. Only the censored version in stock though :(

"This Steam Key enables you to activate and download Left 4 Dead through yor Steam account. The current keys stock activates the cut version (less violence) of the game."
 
Without all the gore would the game still be classed an 18? Just wondering as my 15 year old brother may be able to play then. It'll be useful if I can convince his (and my, obviously) mother that it's ok to let him play it ;)

My nephew who is 9 has been watching me play it. He says hes scared when its pitch black in the game, and occasionally some characters say the S word, but other than that its pretty reasonable.

I wouldnt let him watch any messed up horror films or anything, but he sees me kickin ass on l4d and thinks its cool :)

He also shouts when theres boomers about :D
 
my little brother is 8 and i let him play it once in a while, he doesn't give a **** and just kick ass'. Although when I am not near him, I sometimes see him jumping off the chair, probably when the sees the tank coming :D
