Left 4 Dead Dream Update?

I don't know about you, but I keep seeing updates from valve (not often enough for L4D) that don't massively excite me. I have a few ideas of things I'd like fixed (see implemented) but want to put them into the same place as well so this is as good a place as any to do it. Here's what I'd like to see:

Update Released.

Game Mechanics:
-4x4 Matchmaking is now available
-The game/lobby browser is now removed by default, but can be enabled through options (or accessed via console command).

New Campaign:
-The Last Stand Campaign with the Light House survival map serving as a finale has been released.

Survivor Changes:
-Medpacks in Versus capped at 2 extra from safe room (max). All others are now pills.
-Pipe bombs and molotovs are now closer in spawn amounts for both teams.

Infected Changes:
-Tanks now run faster when set on fire in VS
-Tanks now ghost instead of ai spawn, though still have to spawn at a set distance from/out of sight of survivors. This stops AI from being given control, which often acquired damage before the player got control. Music still plays and if they don't spawn after a certain time, control is cycled to the next player.
-Boomer vomit delay on spawn and when it stops moving is now removed
-Boomer can now throw up through fences and survivors
-Infected are not spawned automaticly in finale
-Hunter pounce damage delay minum cap set at 6. If any lower there will be no delay between the instant damage and when the Hunter starts causing extra damage.
-Hunter can nolonger be melee blocked with damage pounces above 10 in power.
-Hunter high pounce targeting improved, making it easier to land high damage pounces.

Add-on Campaigns:
-Now download ingame if the client hasn't got the campaign being played on the server/set up in the lobby.
-Game reliant events such as tank spawns in finale are now forced if the map bugs out. This way players can still finish their game.
-Map Pack 1, including custom maps such as Death Aboard (Coop/Versus), Dead Before Dawn (Coop/Versus) and Central Dark (Survival) is included.

Original Campaign Fixes:
-Dead Air and Death Toll have now both have exploitative positions fixed and gameplay tweaked as shown here: http://forums.steampowered.com/forums/showthread.php?t=907695 (minus the weapon in safe room changes)

That update would make me extremely happy. :D

The blue bar does indeed look fantastic and goes well with the HUD...

The one point that is bloody essential that you brought up Link is this:

-Infected are not spawned automaticly in finale

You seen how frustrated I was getting in No Mercy Last night with the spawn locations I was getting with both the Boomer and Smokers
 
Good luck getting valve to update anything, Ive waited 2+ years for them to release the multicore update which they had already announced for CSS 2+ years ago, and still nothing to this day.

Looks to me, with L4D2 shown at E3, that you will be very lucky to see ANY updates for L4D at all. Valve do their own thing, they rarely listen to people's needs, especially when it makes them no money to update a game that you have already bought.

I agree with the first one but not the second one. My feeling is that it currently takes a suitable amount of skill and practice to get a 25 pounce. Any easier and it would reduce the challenge too much.

Yeah your right Robbie....

I think any sense of skill, reward or achievement would be lost if it was made easier to do so.

What I will say about that however is the fact that you can do a really high pounce sometimes you think you've landed it only to have the pounce remain unrewarded for the height....so whether it becomes a case of a simple reconfiguiration to the radius ever so slightly then that would be ok.

I agree. if it was to be tweaked I would say collision detection be improved rather than make it easier. It would just take away from the achievement of getting a 25 pounce otherwise
 
tbh they just need to make the bloody smoker tongue attach more consistently. I swear every patch has claimed improvements but it still seems completely random.

I think the Hunter should be able to take a melee hit better, at the moment a melee hit knocks one back for a second or with no ability to run away. This is a creature that can leap 100ft through the air, but gets flatten by a girl :p
 
Would hardly say a dream update, but i would like it if it got the same attention tf2 does!
I find the versus very rushed from the infected point of view, u can tell this was primary a coop game with the added versus mode.
