Left 4 Dead - expensive!!

Just been buying a few games for the 360 which is sitting under the Christmas tree. Was very keen on Left 4 Dead, but it appears to cost £39ish absolutely everywhere! Seems crazy, given the amount of deals on just now.
 
I only paid £30 with some vouchers I had but I would say even at £40 it's definately worth it, really excellent game, perhaps my favourite this year.
 
Can't really justify £40 when pretty much every other game can be had for £25 and under just now :(

Maybe it'll be on a deal this week, who knows!
 
I got mine for £30. Pre-ordered though.

Strangely, though this is probably my game of the year, I have not spent all that much time playing it...
 
Expesnive for what it is, Orange Box was a bargain at £40 but L4D is no worth £40

COD 5, GoW 2 are still expensive, just sold COD 5 for £35 and that was 2nd hand :D

Exactly, considering they did the Orange box for £30 which had about 5 games in it then making Left 4 Dead £9 more makes seem like you're getting ripped off.

but from what i've heard it's good, and you get what you pay for (in most cases :D)

So why is Left 4 Dead not worth £40? It's a full game and considering each campaign can take 2+ hours (albeit on Expert) it's just as long as the majority of other titles.

Yeah I wouldn't pay £40 for the console version purely because the PC will get better support from Valve and user made campaigns are in the works, BUT if it was only on the 360 I'd buy it in a heartbeat.

You just moan no matter what.

Not really, 2 of the games in the Orange Box were already completed years ago, Portal was never going to be a full price game and neither was Episode 2, not sure about how the pricing of TF2 would have went about if the Orange Box didn't come along though...

I don't think people should complain though, at least Valve are bringing good games to the consoles as I swear I read they don't even like developing for them.

im also on the lookout for this, had a brief check online and everywhere seems to be £38+

gonna have a look in town later, hopefully ill find it cheaper...
