I bought it and although its an excellent game I am finding it hard to find a decent lag-free Versus server. When I do its always on Normal which is too easy!

About 60% of the time I find a server through the crap "find a game inprogress" or "find a lobby" it ends up being unplayable through lag or can't join at all! And yes the old fashioned server browser doesn't help much either as there just aren't enough VS servers.

There are loads more Co-op servers though, seemed fine the last few times I played it.

The game itself is awesome and theres no shortage of people playing it!

The main problem I have is the lack of a server browser. The lobby thing tries to find you a server to join but often gives you some p.o.s server which lags like a mofo instead :(

Just wish theyd given us a normal server browser which lets you join your party to any server you choose and then let you vote change the map. There is a server browser you can bring up if you enable the console but it doesnt let you join your party :( just yourself.

Game itself is uber though :)

You're not the only one :p

We had a power in our street the other day. I woke up to no light, hearing someone running up the stairs. Thought the zombie apocalypse had begun!

You probably could have worked out by the million post Left 4 Dead thread that lots of people are playing it, and that it's worth buying.

** a pc gamer now no need for xbox hand holding, just have one person join an empty server with a good ping and then have the other 3 people follow them in via the friends list

Tis a very fun game, lots of people playing, and a fair amount of them are actually quite good (there are still the 10yr old kids that run around like a crazy person getting the team killed but u can boot them)

i actually think vs mode has to be on easy for the survivors to stand a chance... a boomer and 3 smokers/hunters can easily kill all the survivors if the infected play as a team and have the boomer distract with a swarm and then all strike at once

i think its great, although with only 4 campains don't know how long it will last.

Playing on expert is very tough though.

it is an excellent co-op game, and the versus is top notch. Plus with all the free content that will come thanks to it being a valve game, what more could you want?

The L4D thread on here started on the 23rd of October, It's had 2580 posts & over 51 thousand views. There is a Thread for L4D names & an [OcUK] Community that means Every single night since release you can Instantly meet up with other members. The opening day buzz has still not died down 2 weeks later. General comments are "Best fun I've had online in years" etc etc etc

Me I would say Yes it's worth buying & I can't see anybody on here saying otherwise if they have been following the L4D thread.
