Left Hand Networks

Hey,

Anybody using kit from Left Hand Networks? I'd be interested to hear any opinions of the kit.

I'm testing a few loan boxes and am rather impressed with the technology and features for the price point.

I was taken by VSA for vmware, interesting solution but the rest doesn't interest me, it's just another SAN without a compelling feature from a small company (actually I think they've been bought by HP now). I wouldn't buy from anyone other than the big players after past experiences...

I had a play with the VSA and it was good technology but in the end it was "better" to go with an external iSCSI array in terms of cost / storage.

They have been purchased by HP now. I do agree that the VSA looks good, and after having a play with the storage units i'm quite impressed.

For bigger players they wouldn't be suitable but it certainly opens up the DR market for a certain none enterprise pricepoint.

My company deals very heavily with them (don't know the exact deal but some kind of partnership). Is it the iSCSI tech your looking at?

The company I work for are now partners with Left Hand, we are going to be selling a fair few units.
