been struggling with PC gaming as a Leftie for many years.. without any form of specific hardware or even preset keybinding in games for us poor unlucky people..

anyways i have had a look around at whats available (that would be nothing...) and come up with a little bit of a concept idea... which i am not going to divulge on here hah!

I am purely looking for a show of hands as such..

lefties only,

what setup do you use for gaming? and are you happy with it? or would you be interested in buying something that leftie specific ?

cheers!
Andrew.

K60 keyboard and a Rat 7 Contagion

Im predominantly left handed but prefer to mouse in my right.

I would not ever buy anything made specifically for left handed people as it stops you from using it on either hand if necessary.

I use a left-handed Naga for gaming, and a Performance MX for general use - standard keyboard but play with arrows/numpad. I find this fine. Mostly play MMOs and RPGS.

maybe i am lazy.. or just stubborn lol.. i never cba to rebind all the keys, for every game i play..

Hmm, If I were a lefty... After all these gaming years I would have a good grasp on where and what to rebind.

']' would be reload, '[' gredande, use would be return... etc.

Would not take long, have at it man.

Yes he could but left handers are a minority and all mice and keyboard's (are aimed at rightys) But i dunno burn them all, its a bit drastic. Burn all right

left handed gaming is easy peasy we have 3 options wasd arrows or dont!
cant sweat that :)

was about to counter that for non fps games... then realised that every other game is played with a (xbox) controller anyway! Driving / Adventure games etc

its interesting to hear what area of keys the lefties choose to use? I might try the numberpad... this could also allow me to use a dedicated external number pad for more space :D

I might try the numberpad...

It has always bugged me this :)

Why not just mirror the left hand side of your keyboard to the right hand side of the keyboard?

I put my left hand down, mirroring WSAD and I can reach everything! Albeit in opposite land (with a return button instead of a caps lock [but that is actually kinda nice!])

Edit: Just realised '[' and ']' would not be grenade/reload... 'O' would be grenade and 'I' would be reload. lol, melon twisty.

mouse right hand feels natural, left max distance to throw, write left, spoon food right. right writing is awful but left writing is great. hmm what?

brushing your teeth with your other hand is supposed to create brain cells? feels proper weird.

I don't play games often these days, but as a leftie that had to make do with keyboards for decades, one of the best bits of kit I bought was an Ideazon Fang for right-hand use. Ambidextrous, and no remapping required, most of the time.

Of course, like all good leftie-helping solutions, it didn't sell well and is long since discontinued :(

I am also that way, I am the only left hander in the family... So, I just got use to it really...

If you are talking about a keyboard, all it would be is the num. pad on the left side... Not sure how it is in the UK, but the US, they sell like none, I found 1 it was $100+ that was laughable... Just get a numpad, or if it is a mouse, left handed mice are not rare right???
