so i have a half built machine here, Asrock Z77 pro 4-m motherboard. HIS HD 7950 graphics card. Samsung 120gb ssd. 2TB HDD. ASUS dvd rw. i5 chip, ocz 550 PSU. annnnd none of the power supplies are fitting in anywhere. help?

need replys ASAP, this pc needs to be done by tonight.

what are you trying to plug in?
24 pin goes in the 24 pin plug, usually middle right, 4/8 pin goes in 4/8pin plug usually top left of board

any others?

NZXT source 210 case, i think my ASUS dvd drive didnt come with any leads, or a molex adaptor..

also i had to use the two leads that came with the samsung to connect to the 2tb hdd and the 120gb ssd to the motherboard, so now i dont have a sata cable for the dvd drive

No a they use sata ... All the sata cables should have come with the motherboard, all power cables with the psu..

The motherboard appears to come with only 2 SATA leads, if you need to install the operating system, just install the DVD and SSD drive install windows and any drivers required (might be worth downloading the latest ones)
then if you need the mechanical drive then install this and use the sata from the optical drive until you get another lead.

With a kettle lead? From your normal wall socket into the 3 pin plug on the back of the PSU?

There's a power cable that plugs into the 3pin socket at the back. You attatch it to the wall

i meant data drive lol, so i found out how to connect evrything up (got a bit ahead of myself and panicky) but now when i turn it on the screen stays blank, i tried HDMI and DVI.

Just to confirm you have the 8 pin for cpu power connected and the main 24 pin ATX and the power to the external gpu (both connections)

Also try a CMOS reset.
