Anyone had issues with the left4dead.exe being flagged as a virus

Just came in to launch my preload and i was told it has been quarantined for CRYPT.Win32

This is not some toy A/V this is nod32 telling me this!!!

Have just verified files in steam, it redownloaded and nod quarantined it again!

I believe there are a few people with this, have you put steam in the exceptions list?

It's 'more than likely' a false positive (Or negative? I never remember the way)

So...unless valve server has been directly infected...your more than likely fine I would have thought.

Only thing you could do, it delete everything related to it, and try again?

Sounds like a false postive to me. It does seem to me highly unlikely that there would be a virus on the preload from Valve. False postives suck and affect all AVs (that includes NOD32), in the past I have had AVs such as Kaspersky quarantine legit windows files and files such as my musicmatch app.

I would perhaps disable the AV protection before doing the preload which should hopefully prevent any NOD shenanigans.

Well,

Went back to play today and i get an error "Steam ticket expired please re-enter password!!"

Have had a google and this could be down to hacking!, i am currently deleting the .blob file and restarting steam, Have also just changed by steam password

I have had steam for years without issues then yesterday i get a virus warning on a download then today i get password/account issues, If peopele get hacked accounts now all hell will break loose!!
