Legacy Joystick Port?

It may seem like an odd question but...

Does anybody make a PCI/PCIe card with a Joystick port?

last time I saw one was as an add-on for soundblaster sound cards and they plugged into the card and then had a cable that ran to a connector you would install in an empty backplate slot.

If you are desperate to use an old 15pin joystick, google for a 15 pin Joystick to USB Convertor

I have a USB one that runs a 1990s analogue joystick perfectly

Well whaddaya know! Not expensive either!

I am toying with the idea of setting up my old "Best FPS controller of all time" http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Panther_XL but need an old style Joy port to do so.

that looks like it would take a lot of getting used to, surprised no one has had a winge about the response time's vs modern hardware ignoring that this accounts for the smallest of difference in real world play.

Actually you get used to it (and similar configurations) really quickly. Legend has it that in the late 90's Panthers were effectively banned from competitive gaming because even complete beginners using the panther could totally slaughter experienced Keyboard/Mouse players..

It just uses a serial port no? controller cards cost peanuts. I'd be more concerned about drivers.
