Was talking to a friend recently. He was telling me how todays CPU's are somewhat crippled in terms of what their performance could be due to the fact they still have to fully support x86. Obviously we all know you could, if you wanted to, install MSDOS on a Conroe or X2 and everything would still run fine, but I didn't realise compromises have to be made in order to do this.
Do you think in 10 years time, Intel/AMD desktop CPU's will still be supporting x86?
