i don't think there is anything he can do in a criminal proceeding, i don't even know if there is any gorunds for a defemation suit in a civil proceeding. How are you going to prove she has said every word that you are accusing her have said. That said, the limitation period of a defemation suit if 1 year, if you realised what she started doing was more than 1 year ago, you are out of time anyway.

p.s. Legal advice at 3am, i should start charging ! :p

Seriously? That sucks for him poor mate :(

I don't think that the pub incidence is older than a year though. I'll have to ask him tbh to clarify.

The limitation clock usually starts when the defendent caused the "injury", or you realise the injury was caused by the defendent. It depends when the claimant knew who did it, or it was reasonable for him to realise/find out that it was her who started it. The clock would start which ever is the earlier one.

While that'd be amusing he doesn't wanna stoop to her level.

He also says that the pub incidence happened last year, but he deffo knew about it less than one year ago.
 
Oh, come ON, do you really think your lecturers give a grilled **** about undergrad gossip? Are they going to come to any of you and ask for a sodding character reference before they can accept him for a masters? Seriously!
 
yup the college/uni lecturers wouldnt give a flying **** what some little tart has been saying.

if that girl keeps saying stuff to him, he needs to tell her where to go, to stop saying rubbish and to grow up and eff off. this preferably needs to be done in front of a lot of people, to make the tart feel small.
