Aside from the that looks crap comments, would a mirror that far inside even work? Surely you'd have one hell of a big blind spot?

I remember seeing something on an old TG where they had some severely destroyed... I mean kitted out... Peugeot or something which had little cameras instead of wing mirrors. perhaps you could try that

You can get wing mirror camera's on quite a few cars, IIRC the main intention is to help fill in the blind spots.
