Hot News, Almost Human Ltd has just announced Legend of Grimrock 2! Now I've played Legend of Grimrock 1 and not only was it a huge success selling over 600,000 copies in the gaming world, I thought it was bloody brilliant too. It was an epic dungeon crawler, which took many of us back to our roots of crpg goodness, battling creatures and solving puzzles in a grid based movement dungeon system. Basically the Dungeon Master of this generation, with HD graphics and lighting.

Yeah, I'd like to see more loot and maybe a few more levels. I liked the first a lot, though I thought it went a little downhill during the last couple of levels or so.

first was ok, but soon got bored, never did that either in the old dungeon master :(

some puzzles are poor, and level design could be better, not as good as i first hoped it would be on first looks

Cant wait to play this.

The first one i could not stop playing it, always loved that style of game and its been a while since i felt that i had keep playing even though i needed to sleep.
Glad it was a financial success too, just shows you can still make good money on the PC.

I thought they missed the mark slightly with the first one, the fixed classes weren't as much fun as the skill system in Dungeon Master. Hopefully they're a bit more confident with a ton of Grimrock 1 sales behind them and we'll see something really special :)

I really enjoyed the first one, even went so far as to get all the achievements. Only puzzle I remember disliking was the one where you have to try and guess objects from some crypic descriptions, and they were items that you already may have discarded.

What the first one missed was a deeper level of character customisation, but in turn that needs more XP to play with, which means more levels and more hidden levels.

I quite liked the custom classes, but there were obvious more powerful choices for each class, so it forced you down those routes
Assassin for rogue
Fire for magic
Swords for fighters

Dungeon Master 2 had outside parts
Eye of the Beholder had outside parts
Abandoned places 1 and 2 did
ISHAR 1-3 did as well

Want more? :) Most of the time you'd be outside and appear at a Dungeon, hopefully LOG 2 has towns too :D

Lands of lore was the best of this I feel in the outside department, and of cause character narration, which Grimrock was lacking.
