Where did the great 'golden age' game developers go. Not the ones that moved to the 360 :)

Chris Sawer - Roller coaster Tycoon, Transport Tycoon
Wiki (and google searches) only have him active till 2004 ish

Geoff Crammond - Formula One, Stunt Car Racer
Stunt Car Racer cancelled 2003 and not heard of since.

Warren Spector - Deus Ex, Thief
Working with Junction Point Studio's in 2007. No news since then.

Anyone know any details that's not listed on wiki, or easily found on Google.

No mention of Richard Garriott?.. :(

Although, to be fair, he didnt go anywhere. He just lost it.

He went into space ;)

Mike Singleton for me - Lords of Midnight, Midwinter, Quake Minus One. He was years ahead of his time, especially as far as AI was concerned, but then he dropped from sight too.

Lawrence Holland - Xwing / Tie Fighter series, Bridge Commander, owner of Totally Games.
Anyone know where he disappeared to?

David Braben? Elite!
Peter Molyneux? Dungeon Keeper / Black and White
Archer MacLean? Jimmy Whites, Dropzone, IK+
Jeff Minter? Llama games!

Well those two are both developing for 360 now. Molyneux is the creative director or something behind Project Natal. Minter made an arcade game last year I think? It wasn't received very well (because it was a bit crap) and I haven't heard of him since.

I think Warren Spector is still working on that RPG (although it seems to be taking forever) wasn't it something to do with toons?

Even so there are still some individuals now (Peter Molyneux) who have such an influence over games that people look for them.

Er... if by that you mean his company worked on one tech demo for it. :p

No, I'm pretty sure he got some new position. *looks it up*

here we go:

"On 4 June 2009, he was promoted to Creative Director of Microsoft Game Studios, Europe, although he will still continue to produce video games with Lionhead Studios."
