Legion go gpu comparative to what desktop pc gpu ?

There's not really a direct comparison but from the reviews I've seen the AMD Z1 Extreme APU used in the Legion Go (and ROG Ally) performs roughly around the level of a GTX 1050 Ti in most games. Some games it's closer to the GTX 1060

It is more like a nVidia 1030 or Radeon 455 for many games - I've not had mine long enough to really optimise it for performance or see how it performs in a variety of titles - see my post here for a Heaven benchmark (this is pretty much straight out the box and I don't have a comparison to know if mine is performing at 100% or not, etc.):

For some stuff it can be a bit faster - approaching the 1050/60 other stuff quite a bit slower.

Comparison of Hogwarts Legacy at 1080p all high settings except clouds on ultra, no ray tracing Legion Go vs Desktop 3070FE:

Though using FSR2 on the Go and DLSS on the 3070 and the game does use some automatic adjustments based on VRAM and framerate so quality settings aren't identical. A bit deceptive though as on the Go it is swapping out data all the time due to those settings hitting the VRAM limits (setting 8GB VRAM takes too much away from the physical memory making the game unplayable) making it hitch/stutter a bit as you move around - realistically you'd have to play at 1280x800 with low settings to get playable performance.

EDIT: Also on battery at the performance settings to get that framerate you'd get about 1 hour 10 minutes of play LOL.

The legion go is £699 I hope it comes down in price. I could have picked up the asus rog ally for £500 recently but want the bigger screen and no issues with the thing frying your sd card
