Just received this apparently from 02 but the e-mail and web addresses say 02-mail.co.uk (I won't put the link as someone is bound to use it).

You ordered some free SIMs in January. It turns out that a small number of the SIMs we sent out were faulty. And yours may have been one of them. If you did get a SIM that didn't work, we're really sorry. That's why we're offering you this opportunity to replace them - and send you more for free.

Does anyone know anything about this?
 
I did order sims but I didn't want to visit the site without knowing if it was legit. I guess the only way to know for sure is have a look.
