Evening lads,

my googlefu skills are failing and microsoft website is of no help either, so I turn to you for help. Recently my pc started throwing up an error saying the copy of my win 7 ult is not legitimate (it is). I get a link to the microsoft validation website which just gets stuck on checking if I have a legal copy of win 7 (same happens when I attempt to access the site manually rather than via the link). Ran spybot and webroot a good few times and neither is reporting a virus, so I'm at a loss as to what's going on.
Any suggestions most welcome.

Well I ran it, and put the PID it brought up into ms support website for assistance only to find out this: 'The product ID number you entered has expired. Please enter another product ID number or select a different support option below.'

WTF?

From Googling that might just be free support that has expired.

Can you post your MGADiag result? (blank the PID/key off if you want).

Also is your PCs date set right?

Incoming wall of text.

Hmm.. C:\Windows\system32\slmgr.vbs(1333, 5) (null): 0xC0000034 doesn't look too promising.
Don't suppose you can do a system restore to when it was working can you?

Does that file even exist on your drive?

Failing that, you could try resetting your licensing data:

Code:
It looks like your Licensing Store has become corrupted
Try the below steps to recreate the Store and its data.

1) Click Start button.
2) Type: CMD.exe into the 'Search programs and files' field
3) Right-Click on CMD.exe and select 'Run as Administrator'
4) Type: net stop sppsvc (It may ask you if you are sure, select yes)
Note: the Software Protection survive may not be running, this is ok.
5) Type: cd %windir%\ServiceProfiles\NetworkService\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\SoftwareProtectionPlatform
6) Type: rename tokens.dat tokens.bar
7) Type: cd %windir%\system32
8) Type: net start sppsvc
9) Type: slui.exe
10) After a couple of seconds Windows Activation dialog will appear. It's most likely that Activation will occur automatically but you may be asked to re-enter your product key and/or to reactivate.

Once complete, reboot, then run MGADiag again, and post the new report

Tried the above, it ended with an error window:
