Legitimate Ebay or not?

Im in blackpool so no chance of collection. Ive been scammed selling something on ebay before (buyer did a charge reversal on paypal :( ) so i am very wary - and I am after that laptop in particular cause it is so small and cheap.
 
gib786 : i dont suppose u know of anywhere or anyone selling them do you? Sell me one of yours? :p

Really want one cause of their size.
 
The battery life doesnt bother me at all as I would always be using it with a plug. Could I possibly tempt you to sell it like now? :)
 
Well being an ebay n00b i put the bid on before asking the question. And so I am stilly currently the winning bidder and there is only 50minutes till it ends. If i was to win, and I asked him if I could pick it up and he said no, meaning there is a high chance that heis dodgey, would I still contractually have to buy the laptop or could i say i dont want it then ? Would i just get some neg feedback?
 
But other then leaving negative feedback, is there anything else that I could get into trouble for? Cause effectively if I refuse to pay when I won, I am wasting his auction.

I really hope that the auction is legit. Is there any payment method that I can offer to pay by where if something goes wrong, I have some sort of comeback where I can get my money back?
 
Well, am going to have to just see what happens. 38mins left and im still winning.

I will only accept Bank Transfer and this can be made by TRX to my account at the HSBC in the UK .. I will check the sort code of where its paid. If made over the internet or in cash to HSBC the laptop will be sent the same day by DHL it will take 48hrs to get to you and a signature will be required.. I will not accept Pay Pal, but for the succesful bidder will provide full details of the security you require to confirm authenticity and assurance that this is a fully legitimate and secure sale

Just incase anyone cares. I am sat on the laptop now typing this message. Was the smoothest auction i have ever taken place in. Extremely happy !
 
Well ive just been playing with it for an hour, and for what I paid I am very happy with it. After I won that one, I looked again on ebay for anymore and I came up with this gem http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=8768884915&rd=1&sspagename=STRK:MEWN:IT&rd=1. So my mother is having this one that I recieved today as she was looking for a laptop anyway and I am having the the other one, which is better spec.

The guy who I got the first one off actually sent it from Malta where he is working. He posted it yesterday when the funds cleared into his account and I recieved it this morning.

I have had my reservations about ebay since I got stung selling a phone a couple of years ago, but this has restored my faith in it. I just hope nobody tells me now that the second notebook i won looks dodgey :)
