Started shoot some Lego Characters a while back, a friend popped round the other night and as a thank you for something I did for her she gave me a stack more!

Some of my older ones:

All backgrounds etc are printed paper or PC monitor/Kindle fire, no layers or anything... make for a lot more fun :D

Thanks guys, so simple and easy, just have to put your mind to an idea and work through it. I think everyone should give it a try :D

Nice shots. :D

If you're interested in doing more of them I'd thoroughly recommend having a good read through Avanaut's work on flickr. He goes into some detail to explain some of the techniques he's using to create some of these scenes. It's well worth a read if you plan to experiment more with them or need a wee project to pass some time. Below are a few examples of his stuff.

My girlfriend bought me the Lego Technic helicopter for Christmas, was the best present I've had in years (that I haven't bought for myself!).

Was chuffed to bits when I finished as it was incredibly complex, until I realised it's for 8-14 year olds and I'm somewhere North of 30...

Will put some pics of it up at some point taken with my new toy, though when I see the quality of these, I'll be put to shame! And to think I gave all my Lego away to the local hospital as well.

I've been buying technic lego in the last year too. I have the flatbed and the JCB :D My mate just bought the space shuttle, which is huge. I want the new stuff coming out this year, although I'm running low on room. 8-14? Pfft, I was 40 last week :D

Mmm! Just need motor now...

If you get serious about Lego you need to join the Brickish Association which is the largest adult Lego User Group (LUG) in the country. Even if you don't join, a visit to the steam museum in Swindon for the first weekend in October for the annual Great Western Lego show is a must. A search on Flickr for Lego, STEAM & Swindon will find some remarkable stuff. Here's my (longest) train in front of the layout I shared in 2011.

This was the three fat bearded blokes layout - the youngest was 40 and I'm the oldest.....

Is there something these two aren't telling the others?

Oh, and if you want complex Technic, try the Unimog!

It's a fantastic kit. I love having kids I can buy Lego for. :D

There's some really inspirational photography here. I plan on giving it a go soon.

Bought for your kids. Of course.

"Daddy help you. No, don't touch, this bit's really complicated. And this bit. And this bit..."

It does look amazing though!

I can't tell a lie...;)

It's sad to think of all the Technic i had when i was younger, that i sold long ago when i grew out of it. If only I'd thought about my second childhood.
