We've just spent a weekend at Lalandia Resort, which is opposite (5min walk) Legoland theme park in Denmark. If you have kids (or are a big kid yourself) then I can't recommend it enough.

If you book Lalandia through the Legoland website ("Other Accommodation") - https://www.legoland.dk/en/ - you get a 2 day pass to Legoland, but check prices, sometimes it's cheaper to use booking.com and buy separately.
You could spend a week in Lalandia itself - main attraction is Aquadome, a huge indoor water park. Wave machine, and lots of 1, 2 and 4 person water slides etc. On top of Aquadome, there's 10pin bowling, indoor skiing, sports hall, football, health spa, mini golf, ice skating, rock climbing, play area etc. All indoors.

There are hotels, but Lalandia has hundreds of self catering cabins. Overall it's a bit like Center Parcs, but better and cheaper. It's a 10minute taxi ride from the airport so a rental car is not essential.

If you hire a bike there's even more to do within cycling distance - https://shop.wowpark.dk/ outdoor adventure park. also the Lego House is close by - https://legohouse.com/en-gb/

Downside is that Lalandia is a resort and Denmark isn't a cheap place. On site food and shops are little pricey as is the onsite supermarket. However there's an independent supermarket within walking distance which is cheaper.
