Hey guys,

Just a Q I have bee wondering on..

My AMP is closer to one speaker (left) , so I cut two equal length cables for both speakers..

Does this matter? Or could I have just cut different lengths for the same speaker / AMP setup?

Longer cable possibly more susceptible to picking up interference. Any noticeable audio delay due to the length should be completely non-existent without 100s of miles of cable (though I still like to keep them equal length) but differences in things like capacitance due to the extra length can have an impact on the performance of the hardware which might produce an audible difference.

Judging by where the amp is in relation to each speaker, the difference in cable length would not be enough to cause any issue. With my setup, left speaker is right next to the amp. Left cable is probably half the length of the cable to the right speaker.
