My GF has had this laptop (from ocuk) for a good few years
but recently has started to complain about it going so slow ..
Basically she means she cant play her gheybook games (Some zombie cabbage picking shiz) as fast as she can on my gaming system
Well i got to thinking maybe i could OC it to some mental speeds but seing as its a laptop and no watercooling prob not a good idea
So purerly out of interest could a Intel Core 2 Duo Extreme 2.8Ghz drop straight in ?
And then 4gb of new ish ram 4GB (2x2GB) PC2-5300 DDR2-667 667Mhz pc5300 200pin
From looking round it looks like both these would fit , im just wondering if anyone has done it / experience of similar projects .
This is only a stop gap as im planning on handing down my current system to her very soon
