Lenovo E520 Dead

We have one of these in our office, it's been stored in a bag for some time, when I press the power button nothing happens.

To eliminate the power supply being at fault, I purchased a new one from an e-tailer, but still, it doesn't work.

It's a massive shame to junk it when its in A1 condition, I believe the E520 range had a problem with its mainboard which was part of an extended warranty but I was never made aware of this.

I just can't bring myself to bin it when its looks new! I tried contacting Lenovo customer support only to be told to 'buy another' :rolleyes:

Daft question, have you tried removing the battery and then using AC power with battery removed?

Yup, still nothing.

Should any LEDs light on the laptop when the AC power is plugged in?

Hi try this.

Remove the battery and do not plug in the charger. Press and hold the power button for 30 secs then insert the battery and then charger see if it lights up.

If It does not work check your charger port on the laptop if it's broken or loose as that might be the issue.
