Hi folks,
I recently bought a Lenovo Legion 5 (5800h + 3070) for my daughter and she has asked whether we can use our Rift S with it. This laptop does not have a displayport (mini or otherwise) but does have two USB-C.
I bought the following USB-C to Displayport adaptor
https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B01EPU7R4M/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
which I had hoped might work, and whilst the Rift does recognise it as being plugged in via Displayport (green ticks in the Oculus software) the headset screens remain black.
Has anyone had any success getting their Rift S working over USB-C? My understanding is that this laptop does have the USB-C ports connecting directly to the Nvidia GPU and the ports should support displayport alternate mode but I know they can be extremely fussy about being plugged in via adaptors.
At this point I'm not sure if its hardware, software or a combination that's preventing it from working but any help or guidance would be greatly appreciated!
