But bigger! 8.8" is large for a handheld. Z1 Extreme is the same as the top spec Ally. I don't know about the 2560x1600 screen, seems pointless for a handheld. Sure is higher than the competition making a mighty fine bullet point in the marketing.
 
Hopefully Valve will keep price in mind and have base model of Steam Deck 2 that is still under £400.

All I want is a bigger 1080p screen, ideally OLED, a better SOC and something maybe less bulky.

Lenovo still get pilloried for the Superfish incident - it was pre-installed on Lenovo laptops and couldn't be removed (it'd simply reinstall itself):

"Users had expressed concerns about scans of SSL-encrypted web traffic by Superfish Visual Search software pre-installed on Lenovo machines since at least early December 2014. This became a major public issue, however, only in February 2015. The installation included a universal self-signed certificate authority; the certificate authority allows a man-in-the-middle attack to introduce ads even on encrypted pages. The certificate authority had the same private key across laptops; this allowed third-party eavesdroppers to intercept or modify HTTPS secure communications without triggering browser warnings by either extracting the private key or using a self-signed certificate."

Yeah. That is good for you I guess. I read too much negativity about their customer support which puts me off. Maybe they treat their business customers different? Who knows.

It is expensive, agreed. Can buy a low spec gaming laptop for the same price.
What's wrong with Lenovo? I've used their gaming laptops in the past couple of years, decent built quality IMHO.

Ok missed the next few posts. No idea re their customer support, not had to use.

Same price as when I got the Ally, kind of wish I waited, this is so much better than the Ally, however not sure how the low res on the high res screen would stack up because the Z1 Extreme isn't powerful enough to keep up with the Go's screen res.
