Got this m720q and noticed the most power I get from the type c port is 2w to charge a phone with. The manual says the port should give 1amp at least so that would be 5w but this I don't get.
Anyone else with one of these computers getting low usb power?
All usb ports seems to be low power and some even trip giving a power overload error in windows if the phone is connected to them.

The cable I was using. It doesn't like some usb cables. The ones that were fine with the hp elitedesk for some reason keep glitching out causing usb power error and don't charge.
Used the cable that came stock with an Xiaomi phone and that works fine.
Very odd since the cables that caused the issue worked fine on my main pc, dell optiplex micro 3050 and prodesk 400 G4 mini.
Gonna test few more cables to see if I can work out some sort of pattern.

Ah ok, relatively simple then.

Thanks for the update, I won’t have anything high powered plugged in but hoping not to face too severe limitations if I want to avoid extra USB blocks.

At first I thought it didn't like usb pd cables that support 60w or more but it's not that.
Waiting for more cables to come so I can get to the bottom of this.
