My wife recently purchased a Lenovo T27hv-20 monitor with USB-C and built-in speakers. Her desktop pc is permanently connected to the HDMI port and she occasionally connects her laptop to the USB-C port via a USB-C to USB-C cable. The HDMI audio output stops outputting sound as soon as the USB-C cable is connected to the monitor even before the laptop is connected on the other end. This means she has to disconnect the USB-C cable from the monitor everytime she's finished with the laptop or there will be no sound from the HDMI source. Lenovo tell me this is normal behaviour. Surely it isn’t?
