Hi all,

Was wondering if the great peeps here in OCUK photos could help me out with a choice.

After my last thread of camera bags, someone mentioned that I should get a 35mm lens as am wanting to get heavily into some ND landscape action.

The question is now, which one and should i get 35mm or 50mm (I know, that's two questions...but what have the Roman's ever done for us?)

Budget is circa £450-500 and will be mounting on my D80 (have decided to keep this and not upgrade, does what I want I am used to it and more importantly, I like using the camera)

Cheers all

Neither are ideal for cropped landscape work, particularly not with NDs where you have no real option to do panoramas etc. I'd go wider personally. 50 could be complementary to a more standard wideangle lens (as long as you use the WA properly) but neither are particularly well suited to the job other than coincidentally.

Conclusion:
Get a Nikon 20mm 2.8D and a 50mm f/1.8G

My favourite landscape lens is my Tokina 12-24mm f4, I never go out without it and it's perfect for ND photography.
