Lens for Berlin?

Hi All,

I'm off to Berlin for a week next month and was wondering which lens to hire for this holiday?

Last year I went to Rome and took along a 24mm 1.4L (using a 550D body) and whilst it was a fantastic lens I sometimes felt lacking in reach.

I was looking at getting the 24-70 but fear I may miss the extra f-stops due to the low amount of daytime light during the winter.

Any ideas? (p.s would you recommend anything different if I could get my hands on a 5D Mk2 for the week?)

24-105 is a pretty good walk around, as it's a decent range and not as heavy as the 24-70.
