lens price checks please.

Hi there,

I am having to have to sell some of my lenses and need to get rid sooner rather than later without giving them away. I would like some advice as to what to ask for the following items.

1. Canon EF 100-400 F4.5-5.6 L IS USM with storage bag, sunlight filter etc.

2. Sigma EX 12-24 F4.5-5.6 DG HSM with storage bag.

3. Canon Speedlite 550EX

4. Canon extender EF2X (version 2).

on a serious note think you should try MM first

How old is everything you are aiming to sell and what condition?

As these generally will affect the price you can hopefully look to get for them.

Thanks Andy, Probably will try MM, everytime i use a certain auction site the winner de-registers and I have to try to get the fee's back and relist. Not Fun

The 100-400 was bought on the 20/04/04, the flash on the 22/ 12/ 04 and the sigma 12-24 on the 17/ 03/ 04. Cant find receipt for the extender but it was bought post 100-400 purchase.

All items are in mint condition, no marking externally or to the glass, elements etc. The 100-400 has had a sunlight filter fitted from about 5 seconds old. The extender has been used about 6 times, the 100-400 probably less than 1000 shots, the 12-24 less thasn 200. All items missing original cardboard boxes but otherwise complete re instructions etc.

bit of checking, do these seem about right.

Canon 100-400 £700.

Sigma 12-24 £250

Speedlite 550 £100

Canon 2x extender v2 £100.

I was actually going to buy a 2 x extender and 550 later this week. can u mail me at [email protected]? I have tried the addy in your trust but its not working.

bugger those were the two parts i was interested in

If you do sell in MM and morgan doesnt take them i would
be extremely interested!

Obviously there is no selling outside MM so best to
leave talk of selling till its up, we dont want to be hit with the
banning stick

you should get more than that for a 550ex. i sold mine last week, boxed, for £195.

I'd say you'd get nearer £800 for the 100-400 even without the box as long as you've got the lens pouch. They all seem to go for £800+ at auction.
