Lens prices in the uk

Just purchased a Nikon 16-35 from a place in France for £665 and as it was delivered less than 24 hours later I assume it came from their uk warehouse but the uk price is £175 more expensive. The single market is not working out in our favour in this instance.

as far as I know mot a grey import as not a re seller.

I agree with that, my issue is that we pay £170 more to buy stuff from the same company from the same warehouse just to have the website in English.

Vertigo1 there is an interesting site that compares prices across the eu, for the lens I purchased, the Nikon 16-35,it was cheaper from France 2 weeks ago but is now £4 cheaper from Germany.
