So far I only have a total of 3 lenses for my camera (a200):-
The kit 18-70 f4/f5.6 Sony
Sigma 70-300 APO
Sony SAL 50/f1.8
Most of the work I do is city / architecture type stuff, some macro work and the usual pictures at family events.
So far I find myself usually just walking around with the kit lens on. The kit lens is ok but I am sure I can probably get something better. I am not sure what to get though.
I thought maybe getting one of those super zoom jobs that go from 18-200, but then that would kind of make having the 70-300 redundant and i quite like that lens. I took a load of candids at my cousins wedding using the 70-300 and they turned out well as I was far away enough for people not to get tetchy and the reach and quality of the lens for the price yielded some good results.
As a walkabout general lens what would be a good replacement for the kit lens. ?
